NATURAL DISASTERS

 

        From the beginning of time, many countries have frecuently suffered tsunamies, earthquakes or hurricanes, all of them caused by Mother Nature. However, the disaster they produce is sometimes reduced by humans in order to avoid the damages and consequences.

        Let´s take earthquakes as an example. These usually take place in Japon, but there, engineers and architects build resistant houses so they remain after the movement. Unfortunately, some poor regions like Cachemira can´t cope with them. As a result, in 2005 an earthquake that measured 7.6 (Richter scale) took 40,000 lives due to the lack of territorial planning, aid and appropiate constructions.

        In conclusion, it seems to me that there´re a big difference between poor and rich men. So, how much money do our lives cost?
